12-12-12 was indeed lucky for LPU-B!
President Benigno S. Aquino III formally recognized Lyceum of the Philippines University – Batangas in the 15th Philippine Quality Award conferment ceremonies held in Malacañang Palace, December 12, 2012.
Quoting the President in his speech for the said event: “Companies like you have done a lot for our people. You have invested in them; you have given them the platform on which they can impress the whole world with their talents. The dream is this: that decades from now, during the 50th or 60th Philippine Quality Awards ceremony—hopefully, I will have a glimpse of either one of them—we’ll have even more awardees here. And they will be saying that in December of 2012, they saw how these five companies built their success in this country through a meaningful relationship with the talented Filipino work force. They will be saying how they were convinced that they, too, wanted to go down that path of compassion and excellence. I am certain that as long as all of us—private companies, government, and the Filipino people alike—continue down this never-ending road of self-improvement, we will weather any storm; we will get back up; and we will get to the point where our products and services and, and most importantly, our people, will truly shine in the world stage continuously.”
Together with Don Bosco Technical College, Optodev, Inc. and Thomson Reuters Corporation Pte. Ltd. Philippine Branch, LPU Batangas received the PQA Recognition for Commitment to Quality Management, while San Miguel Yamamura Asia Corporation received the Proficiency in Quality Management award.
