The Lyceum of the Philippines University recognized the outstanding students and recognized student organizations of 2014 in this year’s LPU Awards of Excellence held at the Freedom Hall, March 7, 2014.

The event’s guest speaker was no other than Hon. Miriam Defensor Santiago, Senator of the Republic of the Philippines. Senator Santiago’s speech was sprinkled with her usual witty pick up lines and urged the LPU family to not re-elect “Pork-scam” politicians which was applauded by the students and faculty members. This was the second time that Senator Santiago was invited to an LPU-B event.


The LPU Awards of Excellence was sponsored and facilitated by the Office of Student Affairs and the Lyceum Supreme Student Council. The Top 3 students will vie for the 2014 Outstanding Students of CALABARZON.
