Lyceum of the Philippines University (formerly Lyceum of Batangas) was founded by Dr. Sotero H. Laurel in 1966 adopting the educational philosophy of his father, a nation builder and educator former President Jose P. Laurel.  Its flagship courses are Hospitality Management and Tourism, Marine Transportation, Medical Technology, Dentistry and Nursing.  Now, Lyceum of the Philippines University has over 49 degree & non-degree programs offerings.  The school employs over 500 teaching and non-teaching personnel to cater to the needs of its almost 10,000 student population.

  • Awarded with FULL ACCREDITATION for Hotel & Restaurant Management and Tourism programs by The International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education (THE-ICE)
  • Institution with the highest number of PACUCOA-accredited programs in Region IV for two consecutive years(2012-2013) – 25 out of 29 eligible programs are PACUCOA-accredited
  • Institution with the second highest number of PACUCOA-accredited programs in the Philippines for two consecutive years (2012-2013)
  • First Accountancy Program in Region IV and in the Philippines to be granted Level 4 Reaccredited Status by PACUCOA
  • Business Administration program was granted Level 4 accreditation status by PACUCOA

Seven (7) programs were granted Level 4 accreditation status by PACUCOA:

  4. Liberal Arts
  5. International Hospitality Management
  6. International Travel and Tourism Management
  7. Nursing

Five (5) programs were granted Level 3 accreditation status by PACUCOA:

  1. Marine Transportation – first in Region IV
  2. Medical Laboratory Science
  3. Computer Science – first in Region IV
  4. Master in Business Administration – first in Region IV
  5. Criminology
  • Deputized Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) HEI by CHED for BS Business Administration, BS Hotel and Restaurant Management, and BS Nursing
