Founder’s Lecture

In honor of our late founder Sen. Sotero H. Laurel, the Linkages, Alumni and International Affairs (LAIA) recently held the Founder’s lecture at the Freedom Hall, September 25, 2013.

Distinguished speakers include Dr. Wilfrido V. Villacorta, former Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Philippines to ASEAN who delivered the keynote address on the Prospects of ASEAN 2015, Hon. Michael Alexander M. Ang, Consul of the Honorary Consulate of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan who discussed International Diplomacy: Challenges and Connections and Ms. Pham Thuy Trang, a 4th year student of the Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry who shared her experiences as an exchange student under POEC an Internship and Study Abroad Specialist.

Dr. Leon R. Ramos Jr., Executive Director of LAIA has been spearheading the Founder’s Lecture since 1998.
