Fresh from their successful South Korea tour as the Official Philippine Representative to the 2011 CIOFF® Asian and Oceania Folklore Festival in Anseong, Lahing Batangan Dance Troupe (LBDT), the official folk dance group of the Lyceum of the Philippines University – Batangas, reaped another national recognition.

For the group’s significant accomplishments, excellent consumer service and contributions to nation building, LBDT was again chosen by the Consumers Leagues of the Philippines Foundation, Inc. (CONPHIL) as the 2011 DANGAL NG PILIPINAS SEAL OF EXCELLENCE AWARDEE for being the Best Cultural and Artistic Dance Troupe - National Level (Silver / Gold Seal of Guaranteed Excellence).

CONPHIL, the only consumers league foundation accredited by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), will be staging the pioneer and biggest Consumers’ Tribute dubbed as “2011 Consumers’ Choice & Dangal ng Pilipinas 11^th Annual Awards” in line with the national celebration of Consumers’ Month this October to November.

LBDT will be awarded in the said ceremony which will be held on November 24, 2011 (Thursday), 5:00 PM, at the Irwin Theater, Ateneo de Manila University, Katipunan Rd., Quezon City.
